Welcome to the Terms and Conditions for PcFix.

By accessing and using this site you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out here. If you do not agree to be bound by these terms you should not use the site or PcFix's services. These terms are constructed in accordance with English law. In adhering to these terms you agree that the English Courts will have exclusive jurisdiction for any dispute under this agreement.

PcFix websites including the content, names, text and images incorporated in them are provided 'as is' and no warranty or representation of satisfactory quality or fitness for a particular purpose, whether express or implied, is given, nor is any such warranty or representation given that the information and materials contained in PcFix websites are free from errors or inaccuracy.

PcFix will carry out repairs, upgrades and data recovery to the best of its abilities. However, it is the customer's responsibility to ensure they keep secure backups of critical data on external storage media, for instance memory sticks. PcFix will not be liable for data loss or any resulting financial or reputational damage.

Please note that some scratches may be caused during the repair or upgrade process, especially on laptops. No compensation or fee reduction will be allowed for this.

In the event of a repair or upgrade failing within 30 days of the work being carried out, PcFix will either carry out the repair again or refund the fee charged. This will be the limit of PcFix's liability.

If reconditioned hardware is supplied (for instance a reconditioned laptop), it is warrantied for a maximum of 90 days. This is a hardware only warranty. PcFix will collect from Milton Keynes and either repair or refund up to but not exceeding the original fee paid for the item by the customer.

New hardware is warrantied in accordance with your statutory rights up to but not exceeding the original fee paid by the customer.

Liability for a computer or website built by PcFix is limited to the labour fee paid to PcFix plus any hardware supplied directly by PcFix. In the case of a change made to a website, PcFix's maximum liability is to reverse the change or refund the fee paid to PcFix for the change.

Payment for work carried out by PcFix is due as soon as the work is completed. Sometimes PcFix will require a deposit before undertaking work. PcFix charges £35 per hour or part hour for labour. The minimum fee for a visit is thus £35. As PcFix is not registered for VAT, no VAT is added to the labour charge.

Unclaimed goods will be retained for 90 days after which they will be disposed of.
